Charr'd

Offering a sumptuous taste experience like nothing else on Leeside, Charr’d is one of the newest restaurants to join Cork’s growing foodie scene. Taking its motto ‘Slow with Soul’ very much to heart, the Charr’d menu is a mouth-watering mix of brunch, lunch, and dinner recipes that blend the spark and comfort of Southern American cooking with the soul of Irish hospitality. The culinary team behind Charr’d present all of Cork’s favourites included flame-grilled burgers and chicken dishes, complete with the Charr’d twist, alongside their signature dishes of Seasoned Irish Beef or Mamma’s Chicken & Ribs, which already have the entirety of Glanmire and Cork city talking! Every dish is crafted using quality, trusted ingredients and prepared with care to foster a sense of warmth, community, and the shared enjoyment that mealtimes bring.

Limelight Media Approach

Creating a new brand identity from scratch for any new Irish business is always an exciting challenge, and the team at Limelight Media took the time to understand the thinking and creative minds behind the Charr’d concept before embarking on the initial design process. The vibrant and unique colour palette and typeface of the logo design are key foundations and translate effectively across a wide range of additional assets - not only for ongoing digital and motion graphics-based campaigns but also to furnishings, coasters, serving trays, takeaway bags, and other promotional materials.

Our intention was to allow customers sense what it is to walk into Charr’d and eat the food in their own right, and that was achieved in the final look and feel. In addition, a core element for any new business is its name, and the Limelight Media led this development process as part of our involvement in the project. Working collaboratively with the staff team, each piece of the Charr’d puzzle has helped create a striking and uniquely individual offering, one that positions the restaurant as a business that stands out from the crowd and has a strong sense of its own sense of purpose.

Impact

The buzz about Charr’d began long before the restaurant was fully up and running. While the staff team spent crucial time perfecting the menu and their customer service approach, the interior of the restaurant – complete with a physical look and feel that aligns with its new brand identity – featured regularly in content posted by visitors across various social media platforms, which kickstarted a very organic ‘word of mouth’ momentum. This chatter focused on the very soul of the business – the cooking - and supporting this, the Limelight Media team ensured key branding elements were implemented consistently and effectively across print, social, and online as well as on site in Glanmire.
