With over two decades of interior design experience in the United States and Ireland, Louise Johnston is the driving force behind growing her own business to what is today since humble beginnings in 2011. From working on penthouses, entire homes, or individual rooms, she loves to collaborate with the homeowners to ensure living spaces that not only match expectations but also deliver practical comforts and cleverly created design features. From original concept, through to design, buying activities, and on-hand styling, Louise can transform spaces time and time again.

Limelight Media Approach

Developing a new, updated, and more refined look for Louise Johnston Interior Design was an exciting project to be part of for the Limelight Media team. Louise had already growth and cultivated her interior design business over many years and projects, so working closely with the founder to understand her motivation, vision, and long-terms objectives were essential to getting started.

The new brand identity needed to reflect Louise’s deep commitment to creating sophisticated, yet practical homes that are tailored specifically to the people living in them. The logo, therefore, needed to be classically elegant, striking, and clear, including a curved ‘L’ for an extra, intimate personal touch. The brand’s colour palette now has warm green, browns, and blue that blend together seamlessly, supported by bespoke typography, new fonts that underpin quality, and a unique brand pattern.

Impact

There is little more energising that working with a fabulous client and supporting them through their own work transformation, and this was the case with Louise Johnston Interior Designs.

Louise’s own eye for colour, great design, and clarity about where her business is going were core pillars. To those, the Limelight design team brought cross-industry experience of creating brand assets that connect with existing and future customers, experience that is reflected in the unique designs delivered for Louise.

Having this set of core branding assets and guidelines has since allowed the business to confirm its new direction and focus, with consistent messaging across physical and digital materials – delivering a professional, detailed-orientated impression every time.
